Human Papilloma Virus HPV Magnified

Human Papilloma Virus (HPV)

Human Papilloma Virus (also known as HPV) can cause a wide range of symptoms, including genital warts, which may not only be painful, but also humiliating and embarrassing. Is there a treatment that really works so that the HPV will be cured and not return? This question does need to be addressed, as the answer will impact on the quality of life of literally millions who are suffering with this misunderstood virus.

What is HPV and How is the HPV Virus Contracted?

HPV is a viral infection that spreads through skin-to-skin contact, usually during a sexual encounter. Human papilloma virus is one of the most common STIs, Sexually Transmitted Infections, around the world! There are, in fact, over 100 different types of HPV, but many of these do not cause symptoms in most people. The common types of this virus that do cause symptoms and problems in humans include types 6, 11, 16 and 18. It has been estimated that around 50% of people who have had sexual intercourse in their life will at some stage have HPV. Often people do not even know that they have it, as no symptoms appear. In many of these cases the virus may sit in the body, undetected, but still being transmitted to the other sexual partners of the HPV carrier.

Symptoms of HPV

There are several symptoms of the human papilloma virus and these vary depending on the type of HPV that the sufferer has. Again keep in mind that symptoms may not be visible, but the virus may still be present and may pass on to other sexual partners.

  • Cervical Cancer (around 70% are connected to this type of human papilloma virus)
  • Penile Cancer
  • Vagina Cancer
  • Vulvar Cancer
  • Anal Cancer
  • Oropharynx Cancer (this is cancer in the back of the throat, around the tonsils and at the base of the tongue)

Type 6 and 11 HPV Symptoms

  • Genital Warts (About 90% of genital warts are caused by type 6 and 11 HPV)
  • Venereal warts
  • Anal warts
  • Anogenital warts

Symptoms of Other Types of HPV

  • Common Warts
  • Plantar Warts
  • Flat Warts

Genital Warts

Probably the most well known symptom of the human papilloma virus is genital warts. It is interesting to note that genital warts may take anything from a few weeks to months to even years to grow after having sex with an infected person. When they do develop they can grow around the penis and anus in men. In women the genital warts can grow around the outside of the vagina or even inside the vagina.HPV Symptoms Genital Warts

Types of Genital Warts Caused By HPV

The genital warts can vary significantly in their appearance and include:

In men – brown, pink, gray or red bumps; soft and flat; hard and finger-like; or cauliflower-shaped.
In women – often small lumps, close in color to the skin surrounding the area of the genital wart.

As the genital warts develop they can become more complex in their appearance and this is when they grow into clusters that resemble a cauliflower. Keep in mind too that the genital warts may be present, but may be too small to see with the naked eye.

What Do You Do If You Have Genital Warts?

Anyone who has suffered or is suffering from genital warts will know that it is not something that you can openly discuss with those around you. Even going to your family doctor may be embarrassing and humiliating. So what do you do? Are there any treatments or cures for HPV and genital warts?

Traditional Treatments for Genital Warts

If you do go to your doctor then they will examine you and ask you some questions so that they can make a diagnosis. It is not always easy to talk about viruses associated with this private part of the body nor to discuss your sexual activities with a doctor, but they really need this information to see how they can help and treat the virus.

Topical Creams and Ointments

The first course of treatment that your doctor will usually prescribe is a topical cream, gel or ointment. The problem is that these prescriptions are not only very expensive, but also have severe side effects, which you really do not want to deal with on top of the HPV symptoms!

Laser Treatments

Another path that your doctor may follow is to send you for laser treatment to remove the genital warts. This also is very expensive! Add to the cost the excruciating pain that you experience with these laser procedures. You then have the feeling of embarrassment and humiliation with having to see these specialists, discuss your private life with them and having them inspecting and treating these personal parts of your body.

Cryocautery (or Cryotherapy)

The specialist may choose to have you come in for a treatment every week or so where they use liquid nitrogen to freeze the most persistent individual warts. Again this procedure, known as Cryocautery, is not pleasant and not cheap.

Electrocautery

The procedure known as Electrocautery involves using a super-heated needle with an electrical current to actually burn away the genital wart cells. This is often only used when creams and other possible solutions have not worked.

Surgery

Then there is always to option of having the genital warts removed surgically with the use of local anesthetic.

Each of these treatments and procedures mentioned above are expensive and not pleasant due the private nature of this type of viral infection. Often you are also left with horrible scars and reminders of the emotional and physical pain that you have been through! Once you have completed these treatments, how do you know that the problem will not continue with more genital warts growing? This in fact, is one of the problems that HPV and genital wart sufferers will tell you about. The symptoms may be treated only to return and cause more heartache!

A New Treatment Plan?

So the question remains, are there any treatments or cures that really work, without the expense and humiliation of these conventional and traditional solutions? If you could find someone who previously suffered from the human papilloma virus and genital warts and who now has discovered a treatment that truly does work would you be interested in hearing about it?

There is in fact a simple system that guarantees that your genital warts will be eradicated in 5 days or less and remain gone! A previous sufferer has found the answer and would like to share this solution with others who are also suffering with this embarrassing and debilitating infection. You really owe it to yourself, and your sexual partners, to find out more and see how this solution can help you today!
